The ideal candidate will be a Graduate of an AOTA approved Occupational Therapist Assistant program with experience in geriatric rehabilitation and in adult neurological, cardiac and general rehabilitation.
 
Responsibilities of the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Provide patient treatment, which meets patient needs in accordance with the plan of care.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate resources for problem-solving and clinical best practice.
  • Write accurate, complete and clear documentation in accordance with company regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
  • Assist with maintenance of patient charges and administrative support.
  • Consistently demonstrate interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Contribute to professional development of self and others.
  • Aid in building and maintaining Company services reputation as an unparalleled provider of rehab to the elderly by contribution as a professional member of the staff.
  • Consistently demonstrate company core values in interactions with co-workers, patients and families, with all other persons involved with the patient’s care, and the public.
  • Demonstrate safe working practices.
  • Perform all other COTA duties as needed.
 
Requirements of the Certified Occupational Therapy AssistantCertified Occupational Therapy Assistant
 
  • Graduate of an AOTA approved Occupational Therapist Assistant program. Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited OTA program.
  • Current Certification Process/State Licensure as required
  • Experience in geriatric rehabilitation and in adult neurological, cardiac and general rehabilitation preferred
  •  
  • Knowledge of Occupational Therapy treatment techniques and medical terminology
  • Ability to work with all types and levels of patients
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Physically able to perform daily job functions
  • CPR Certification
